The digital version of the reading and writing standards embeds definitions and information from the Companion Glossary and Support document into standards where specific terminology is used.

To support implementation of high-quality instructional resources (HQIRs), educators should continue to use the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Reading and Writing, which is the full standards document adopted into law, available on KYStandards.org.
