The Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) Responding to the Arts: Interactive Resources are now available on the KY Learning Hub!

These interactive resources are designed to support teachers when implementing a high-quality, vibrant student learning experience aligned to the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Visual and Performing Arts

This new self-paced format includes each step of the teacher notes document, embedded companion videos and an accompanying note catcher to capture your thinking throughout each module.

Detailed procedures and all links, handouts, printables and graphics needed to successfully implement each segment of a learning experience aligned to the identified standard are included.

Music: Exploring Sound – Grade 3

Theatre: Exploring Technical Elements – Grade 3

Visual Arts: Exploring Artwork – Grade 4

Media Arts: Exploring Green Screen – Grade 3

In case you missed it, be sure to check out the Dance: Comparing Movement – Grade 7 Interactive Resource.

These resources were developed by discipline experts who are classroom teachers and/or experts in their arts discipline. Through the companion videos, they provide guidance on what each segment of the learning experience looks like in practice in the classroom with students.

Upon completion of each VPA Interactive Resource self-paced course, participants can earn 1-hour of professional learning credit. It is up to the local school district to determine if the training is acceptable for credit based on their district policies.
