Districts leaders, build a science system where every classroom, every leader and every decision work together to ensure high-quality learning for all students.

The Science Systems & Coherence Collaborative aims to help districts strengthen their systems, leadership and instructional practices to provide vibrant, high-quality, standards-aligned science education for every student. Although many districts have invested in science high quality instructional resources (HQIR), materials alone do not produce significant improvements in teaching and learning. Achieving true impact depends on coherence ensuring alignment across curriculum, professional development, leadership practices and classroom instruction.

This collaborative, led by Leading Educators in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), focuses on building stronger aligned systems. Participating districts will engage in intentional, system-level work to ensure that all components of their science system are aligned, reinforcing and focused on improving student outcomes. Through this collaborative, districts will strengthen coherence across their science system, build leadership capacity to support and sustain high-quality instruction and develop structures that ensure long-term impact on teaching and learning.
