Day of Science Learning for Community Based Educators

Day of Science Learning for Community Based Educators

Are you an individual or part of an organization, outside the formal school system, who provides educational experiences that support and enhance student learning of the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Science, often focusing on real-world applications? Do you have a passion for helping students connect classroom concepts to their community and the world around them, enriching the curriculum by offering diverse perspectives and practical experiences? If you are responding yes to the questions above, this “Day of Learning” is for you!

Join the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) science consultants for an exciting professional learning session inspired by United We Learn, Kentucky’s vision for the future of public education. This event will focus on how community partners can collaborate with educators and district leaders to support schools, enhance student experiences, and foster innovation. Participants will deepen their understanding of the KAS for Science and explore strategies for building stronger partnerships. Together, we will discuss how to provide valuable, standards-aligned learning experiences for students and educators, whether through classroom support, professional learning or funding for resources. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to a vibrant future for Kentucky’s schools through community collaboration.
