As districts across Kentucky work to implement high-quality instructional resources (HQIRs), they have recognized a need to measure the effectiveness of their implementation to ensure the HQIR positively impacts the student experience and outcomes.
In response to this need, the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) created the Curriculum Implementation Monitoring Toolkit that defines the key aspects of an implementation “ecosystem” critical to maximizing the impact of an HQIR. The toolkit includes:
- Specific tools for monitoring each of the six aspects;
- Recommendations for use of each tool; and
- Resources to support analyzing the data across a school year to inform progress, make adjustments and determine next steps.
