The Getting to Know the KAS for Reading and Writing professional learning  is now available for all educators. This training helps you synthesize the revised standards with research, literacy practices and high-quality instructional resources (HQIRs) before they are implemented this fall. Educators have the opportunity to access the learning through a self-paced course, a school-based module and through an in-person session.

Self-paced Course: The KyLearningHub provides an asynchronous professional learning experience that includes videos, opportunities to respond, and a Participant Reflection Tool.

School-based Module: Kystandards.org provides materials designed for facilitation in schools and PLCs by instructional leaders.

In-person Session: Regional educational cooperatives are hosting free professional learning opportunities throughout July for teachers and instructional leaders. This high-quality professional learning will be facilitated by program consultants Leigh Turner and Tina Withorn from the Office of Teaching and Learning’s Division of Program Standards. Registration information is linked below.
